The Calahorra Cauliflower is grown on the fertile lands irrigated by the rivers Cidacos and Ebro, on the eastern part of the region of La Rioja in northern Spain. Mild winters, long summers and a high humidity provide the ideal conditions for growing fruit and vegetables.
In addition to the municipality of Calahorra —which gives the Geographical Indication its name— Calahorra Cauliflowers are also grown in the towns of Aguilar del Río Alhama, Alcanadre, Aldeanueva de Ebro, Alfaro, Arnedo, Autol, Cervera del Río Alhama, Pradejón, Quel and Rincón de Soto.
